The Opportunity
WSP is currently seeking a Senior EIC Drafter to expand our infrastructure team based in our Vancouver office. Reporting to the Director of Electrical, SCADA & Facilities for the Transportation & Infrastructure (T&I) business line, the successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking EIC (Electrical, Instrumentation & Controls) design drafting working directly with our EIC engineers on projects primarily for the water and wastewater industry.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with EIC engineers to undertake drafting design of various electrical, instrumentation, and controls drawings.
- Conduct inter-discipline coordination of Revit models.
- Maintain client standards while producing drawings and maintaining drawing register.
- Play a proactive part in the design process and to be active on several projects at any given time.
- Coordinate design work with international support teams.
- Develop and strengthen existing skills and support the delivery of engineering projects in accordance with Client requirements and in line with company and industry best practices.
- Ensure that solutions offered and delivered reflect the needs of private sector, municipal, provincial, and federal clients as the case may be, and;
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- College or Technical Institute graduated with a minimum of a Diploma in technology, preferably electrical drafting or technology related.
- 5 to 15 years' experience in design drafting for electrical systems for buildings and industrial infrastructure, including but not limited to : power distribution, lighting, automation, controls, life safety systems, and communications.
- Excellent working knowledge of AutoCAD. Experience in Script and Lisp will be considered as added advantage.
- Excellent working knowledge on Rivit and BIM360 environment.
- Ability to work independently to deliver comprehensive designs and meeting deadlines.
- Ability to read and interpret 2D and 3D drawings and models to assist with investigations of engineering problems.
- Exemplary interpersonal skills with team members and other disciplines.
- Detailed oriented, organized, hard worker, with a team player attitude.
- Perform under pressure to meet the deadlines; and,
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Salary range (in British Columbia) : $88,900 - $122,200
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
