How your role will add to the story :

We are looking for a Senior IT Business Consultant. You will be expected to manage effective communication, working relationships, expectations, and agreements with internal business partners, IT partners (market, region, HQ), and vendors.

You will also be a strategic liaison and project manager of the medium and small size IT related projects. You will plan, design, develop, and launch new end-to-end and easy-to-use digital solutions and enhancements, and manage the entire lifecycle of digital products You will report directly to the Manager of Digital Business Consulting, and will also have the opportunity to work with Business partners, IT partners, Procurement team and external vendors.

A day in the life

  • Lead small to medium-sized IT projects, ensuring successful execution.
  • Oversee the planning, design, development, and implementation of user-friendly digital solutions and enhancements.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Analyze and optimize existing business functions.
  • Harmonize, optimize, and integrate SAP processes and solutions across multiple business units and applications.
  • Champion continuous improvement within the SAP function.
  • Mentor and support the SAP consulting and support teams.
  • Provide expert advice and resolve complex SAP-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication, working relationships, and agreements with internal business units, IT teams (local, regional, HQ), and external vendors.
  • Gain deep understanding of internal business processes and value chains.
  • Act as a strategic liaison between business units and IT, leveraging cross-divisional synergies.
  • Provide expert guidance to align IT initiatives with business objectives and strategies.
  • Stay abreast of emerging IT technologies and trends.
  • Assess and advise on the impact of technology on business models, identifying opportunities for innovation.
  • Explore and develop new revenue streams through IT-driven initiatives.
  • Lead and inspire a cultural shift in line with Leadership principles and departmental strategies.

Qualifikationen

Mercedes-Benz Star skills, requirements & traits :

  • University degree in IT and / or Industrial / Economical Engineering, Business Administration or similar.
  • 5+ years working experience within Information Technology
  • Expert Knowledge of Logistics (LO) and Sales & distribution (SD) modules with 5+ years working experience in IT Support of SAP and / or SAP based applications.
  • 3+ years of working experience as project manager and business consultant
  • Ability to work on intercultural projects and / or working with intercultural teams.
  • Very Good understanding the automotive industry Finance & Controlling processes and the corresponding value-chains.
  • Solid understanding of SAP FICO and master data system is a plus.
  • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills. Needs to express complex and / or technical information in business management terms.
  • Excellent analysis and critical thinking skills as well as strong strategic thinking
  • General tech-savvy’ and up to date with current technology and trends
  • Certified PMP and / or Certified Scrum Master / Product Owner is an asset.
  • Bold, innovative and enjoy challenging yourself.
