Development Manager
Location : Kitchener, ON
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000 per year + benefits
Employment Type : Full-time, permanent
An established and growing real estate development firm based in Kitchener is seeking a Development Manager to support the full lifecycle of mixed-use and residential projects across Southwestern Ontario.
This role is ideal for a development professional who has worked within a formal reporting environment, understands how development ties into accounting and financing, and is comfortable operating in a structured, data-driven organization.
You will play a key role in coordinating consultants, managing reporting, supporting financing and construction draws, and ensuring development information flows seamlessly between project teams and accounting.
Key Responsibilities
- Support projects through the full development lifecycle from early due diligence through construction and close out
- Prepare and maintain detailed development reporting, budgets, schedules, and forecasts
- Use Yardi as the core system for development reporting, working closely with accounting to ensure accuracy and integration
- Assist with construction draw packages, lender reporting, and financing requirements
- Coordinate with consultants, municipalities, contractors, and internal stakeholders
- Track approvals, permits, contracts, and key project milestones
- Provide clear, thoughtful, written, and verbal updates to internal leadership
- Maintain organized project documentation and reporting standards
What We're Looking For
3+ years of experience in real estate development, construction management, or a related roleHands-on experience using Yardi for development or project reporting (this is a requirement)Exposure to financed projects, including construction draws and lender reportingExperience working in an environment with external reporting requirements (investors, lenders, partners, or boards)Strong communication skills with the ability to clearly explain project status and risksDetail-oriented, structured, and comfortable working with data, budgets, and systemsPost-secondary education in real estate, finance, planning, engineering, or a related field is an assetWhy Join
