Our client, located in Winnipeg, Manitoba, is looking for a Quality Manager to grow with them in their manufacturing business.

Quality is at the root of everything that our client does. The Quality Manager is a dynamic strategic thinker and a do-er, developing and improving policies, procedures, and processes for the company.

The successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment where they may be faced with multiple competing priorities.

Customer facing, the Quality Manager has excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills. With a mechanical background, this individual is a builder who gets satisfaction from establishing processes to guide the quality activities of the company, while promoting a culture of quality and

continuous improvement from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Bring together the quality activities of all manufacturing segments for overall planning

and priorities in line with the objectives of the company.

Review and resolve quality control problems / concerns with the quality team and others

including vendors, customers, quality control personnel, and any personnel related to

production.

Lead team to improve quality control and quality assurance procedures including

documentation, reporting, and performance metrics.

Coordinate and lead audits with various OEM customers.

Develop and fortify existing quality inspection requirements based on specific part

standards, as defined by internal engineering and customer criteria.

Ensure collaboration between quality team and other departments throughout the

organization.

Enhance and manage internal / external corrective and preventive action processes.

Working with internal teams to enact vendor quality improvement initiatives.

Coordinates and assists with vendor inspections and product inspections, as

necessary.

Coordinate between quality teams in Canada and Overseas.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years experience in a Quality leadership role in a Manufacturing Setting.

VDA 6.3 Certification Required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional organizational and leadership skills.

In-depth understanding of quality procedures.

Excellent knowledge of Microsoft tools and quality related software.

Able to travel within Canada, the USA, and internationally, as required.
