About the role

We’re looking for a Property Complex Claims Representative Level III, to join our growing team!

What you'll do here :

  • Responsible for representing the company in the negotiation and settlement of outstanding claims. If necessary, participate in the management of claims through either Alternative Dispute Resolution Process or Litigation process.
  • You will handle moderate to complex first party claims and litigated files
  • Investigate, negotiate and settle losses of appropriate level .
  • Engage and manage internal and external counsel, consultants, adjusters, accountants, appraisers and engineers to confirm coverage, determine liability and assess damages.
  • Lead in analysis and assessment processes including analysis of coverage levels as well as quantum and liability assessments.
  • Participate in management of losses and expense reserves.
  • Assist with unit priorities and other duties as assignment by the Unit Manager.
  • Direct the activities of independent adjusters and experts, when necessary.

What you bring to the table :

  • University degree / college diploma preferred, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of property claims handling experience, commercial claims preferred.
  • Ongoing commitment to self-development.
  • Experience with lead and non-lead subscription property claims.
  • Provides exceptional service to customers, brokers and associates.
  • Exceptional file management capabilities.
  • Coordinating experts.
  • Demonstrate leadership.
