The Senior Contract Administrator is responsible for overseeing the administration of construction contracts, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, and managing contract-related activities.
This individual will work closely with all internal stakeholders, including senior management, and clients to ensure contracts are executed accurately and efficiently, maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
- Review and administer contracts, ensuring compliance with all terms and conditions.
- Prepare, negotiate, and manage contract documents, change orders, and amendments.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to resolve contract disputes and issues.
- Monitor contract performance, including adherence to schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of all contract-related materials.
- Provide guidance and support to project teams on contract-related matters.
- Conduct regular audits of contract performance and compliance.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in construction contract administration.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, legal principles, and industry standards.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Familiarity with Ontario construction laws and regulations is an asset.
