Position Summary
As a Sales Representative at Grimco, you will be instrumental in managing the entire sales cycle, from order entry and prospecting to lead generation, closing sales, and fostering enduring customer relationships. Your expertise will contribute to expanding our market share within a designated territory by promoting our CORE products and leveraging Grimco’s competitive advantages in the sign supply industry. This role is located at our corporate office in Richmond Hill with scheduled hours of 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve performance targets in inbound and outbound sales activities, including chat support, and share market intelligence with the Coordinator, Regional, or Branch Manager.
- Manage the sales process from order entry to closing, maintaining accurate records in Infor CSD and HubSpot.
- Deliver exceptional service to both potential and existing customers, promoting CORE products and communicating Grimco’s value proposition.
- Generate and submit leads for the Hardware & Software team regularly.
- Handle 30+ inbound customer call / chat interactions daily and proactively reach out to existing customers for 15+ outbound calls.
- Visit 10‑15 targeted customers per day with managerial approval, providing reports on wins, challenges, trends, and equipment.
- Continuously update knowledge of industry products, technologies, and the competitive landscape, identifying upselling and cross‑selling opportunities.
- Ensure timely shipping, accurate invoicing, and proactive communication regarding order status.
- Collaborate with the Regional / Branch Sales Manager and Coordinator on sales activities and market insights, and assist with projects such as cataloging, sample mailings, and special events.
- Maintain effective communication with the sales team and other departments to ensure cohesive sales strategies.
- Meet deadlines, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain a positive attitude while understanding Grimco’s departmental processes.
- Submit and manage business expense reports with a focus on cost efficiency.
