Responsibilities :
- Act as the Head of the Learning & Development department
- Liaison with the partners on current compliance and audit standards
- Create new processes, templates based on new CPA standards
- Work closely with CPA Ontario for practice inspections.
- Oversee and assist with engagement performance policy and procedure development.
- Consult with engagement teams on complex accounting and financial reporting matters.
Requirements :
- You MUST have your CPA designation.
- 5+ years accounting experience, ideally in public accounting setting with a focus on compliance and financial reporting.
- Prior experience with implementing new processes and testing internal controls will be an asset.
- Ability to take initiative for own learning and development.
- Passion to lead and train a team.
- Strong communication skills.
