Vancouver Golf Performance, a sister company to Seattle Golf Fitness, is a beacon of excellence in golf fitness coaching in the Northwest.

We're proud to set the standard in innovative golf fitness solutions. As part of our commitment to excellence, we are looking to expand our team with the addition of a Director of Performance at our Vancouver location.

This individual will be responsible for leading future growth of our Canadian presence.

Position Start Date : May 1st-June 1st

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Conduct in-depth initial assessments for clients, covering history, goals, physical fitness, and golf technique.
  • Create individualized training strategies to assist clients in achieving their golfing ambitions.
  • Provide exceptional care and attention to each client, with an approach befitting elite athletes.
  • Work collaboratively with a network of golf, fitness, and healthcare experts to optimize client outcomes.
  • Manage a staff of golf performance coaches
  • Develop an internship program to teach and attract new coaching talent
  • Utilize advanced software for tracking client progress and maintaining effective communication.
  • Handle necessary administrative tasks, including client coordination and fitness programming.
  • Maintain a professional standard in conduct and appearance, reflecting the values and ethos of Vancouver Golf Performance.
  • Mentor and oversee interns, imparting knowledge and professional guidance.
  • Foster meaningful relationships with clients to build trust and enhance their experience.
  • Efficiently progress clients towards their goals with tailored coaching.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as needed or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in golf fitness coaching or a related field.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • An engaging and dynamic personality.
  • Passionate about golf and its culture.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from NSCA.
  • Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) Certification.
  • Experience working with affluent clients and / or professional athletes.

Physical Demands and Work Environment :

This role involves regular communication, physical activity, and use of hands and fingers. The coach will need to stand, walk, sit, and reach, and occasionally lift items up to 50 pounds.

Vision requirements include close, distance, and adaptable focus. The work environment typically has a moderate noise level.

Compensation & Benefits :

  • Total Compensation : $70,000-$95,000
  • $2,000 annual stipend for Continuing Education.
  • $500 annual golf allowance.
