Position Overview
Calian is excited to invite a dedicated Nurse Practitioner to join our clinical team at CFB Cold Lake. This full‑time role offers the unique opportunity to serve as a key member of a multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing high‑quality primary care to Canadian Armed Forces members. As a Nurse Practitioner with Calian, you will play an essential role in delivering comprehensive health services, including primary care, health promotion and disease prevention, while having access to a robust multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive health assessments using sound clinical judgment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills.Practice autonomously and be solely accountable for actions while practicing.Consult with physicians or other health‑care professionals when a client’s condition requires care beyond the scope of NP practice.Make appropriate medical employment limitation recommendations in accordance with the Surgeon General’s guidelines.Prescribe medications and order x‑rays, ultrasounds, and lab tests in accordance with the Standards of Practice for RNs in the Extended Class.Implement strategies to promote health and prevent illness with individuals, families, or groups.Collaborate on management of members with stable chronic illnesses (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, dyslipidemia, asthma) through a predetermined referral process.Refer patients to other providers or programs according to patient needs.Qualifications
Licensed and in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta.Basic Life Support for Health Providers or CPR / AED Level C.Additional Requirements
