ICI Project Director

MatchBox Consulting Group is seeking a Project Director to join our client in Edmonton , AB .

Responsibilities :

• Provide leadership and guidance to technical / project managers on contract management issues, including planning, resource allocation, budgeting, and scheduling.
• Ensure successful project delivery through analysis of project performance metrics, cost / benefit analysis, and implementation of performance management-based outcomes using contract management best practices.
• Coordinate quarterly P & L reporting across all projects, reviewing and preparing reports with project teams before presenting to Executive level.
• Initiate continuous improvement in contract management processes, with support from legal and finance groups, to enhance internal stakeholder engagement during pursuit and project delivery.
• Develop and manage procedures for contract amendments and change orders, ensuring effective tracking of costs, scope, and schedule changes, and oversee negotiation of changes in compliance with corporate target metrics.
• Support proposal development and project execution teams by reviewing commercial and contractual issues to align with risk management and claims avoidance policies, including various agreements and contracts

Requirements :

• A post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field is required.
• A minimum of 12 years of advancing experience in construction.
• 3+ years in a leadership position within projects.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale ICI (industrial, commercial, institutional) new construction projects exceeding $100 million.
