Job Description

M3C is looking for a Lead IT Project Manager (ID607) for a mandate of 24 months in the Toronto area. The Lead Project Manager is a client facing role responsible for overseeing the planning and implementation of the entire SAP to JDE conversion project in 3 sites.

The responsibilities of the Lead Project Manager are :

  • Leading a team that will work in a matrix environment to develop and implement the project deliverables with a target on quality, productivity and consistency;
  • Providing leadership and managing stakeholders at all levels focused on the Key Criteria of Success;
  • Building a detailed project plan;
  • Managing all the resources for the project and communicating them a clear vision for the project objectives;
  • Establishing the project scope and ensuring communication and understanding by all stakeholders;
  • Working with the stakeholders and the project team to define efficient and effective business processes and determine business, functional and non-functional system requirements;
  • Actively manage project risks and issues with the project team and the stakeholders to ensure deliverables are created on time and within the budget;
  • Managing the day-to-day delivery of the project and organize required meetings to track progress, risks, issues and changes;
  • Scheduling and executing Gate meetings to approve work continuation;
  • Ensuring appropriate governance is in place to meet project objectives;
  • Managing the budget and financial tracking of the project;
  • Managing a team of PM’s in a project matrix mode where all of the above PM deliverables are accounted for.

Requirements

The requirements are :

  • 10 + years experience in project management ( with a minimum of 3 to 4 ERP full cycle implementations and upgrades / conversions );
  • Advanced project management skills (developing project objectives and charter, determining resource allocation, tracking progress, etc.);
  • Strong ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously, and projects;
  • Strong knowledge of IT program financials and accounting;
  • Ability to operate in complex, fast-paced project environment with interdependencies spanning multiple work-streams, teams, business divisions, geographies and time zones;
  • Experience with Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Online;
  • PMP designation or formal Project Management Training or MBA certification;
  • ASSET : Experience as a functional JDE consultant (logistics, manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, sales, finance);
  • ASSET : Experience working with an offshore delivery model;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in ENGLISH.
