Job Description :

The Maintenance Controller position is an integral part of our dynamic and expanding organization. We are seeking an experienced, licensed AME M2 to oversee and ensure the safety, efficiency, and compliance of all line maintenance operations.

The Maintenance Controller will work closely with various departments within the company to support aircraft scheduling needs.

Primary Job Functions :

  • Ensure the airworthiness of the company's fleet and communicate status changes.
  • Act as the central point of contact for operational aircrew, dispatch, and maintenance, providing technical and logistical assistance.
  • Collaborate with line maintenance, Technical Services, Materials, and duty operations control to create and assess recovery plans during irregular operations.
  • Make decisions on aircraft swaps when necessary to meet maintenance goals and discrepancies / deferrals.
  • Supervise and coordinate all scheduled and unscheduled line maintenance activities.
  • Maintain constant surveillance of line station activity and authorize the use of the Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and other deferrals.
  • Produce a daily Fleet status report for key stakeholders.
  • Liaise with vendors for overnight maintenance, ensuring work completion and compliance with MEL.
  • Record technical delays and participate in the Weekly Technical Delay review, offering recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
  • Confirm parts requirements for deferrals and monitor their status.
  • Support planned maintenance in conjunction with the maintenance planning department.
  • Coordinate all maintenance ferry flights following approved procedures.
  • Complete internal company forms, maintenance records, documents, work orders, and entries in the MRO IT tracking system.
  • Generate accurate and comprehensive shift turnover reports.
  • Identify safety concerns, incidents, or hazards and report them through the company's Safety Management System (SMS) program.

Qualifications & Requirements :

Education :

  • High School or GED equivalent.
  • Transport Canada (TC) AME license with M2 endorsement.

Experience :

  • 2-5 years of Maintenance Control experience (preferred).
  • Extensive experience with Boeing 737, including NG and / or MAX endorsements.
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, Airworthiness Directives, engineering drawings, and procedure manuals.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Air Regulations (CARs).
  • Familiarity with computer-based maintenance software, AMOS considered an asset.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work irregular hours or shift work that may include overnights, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with a varying schedule.
