POSITION SUMMARY
As a Logistics Coordinator , you will oversee the movement of goods, ensuring that deliveries are timely and efficient through close coordination with carriers.
Your responsibilities will include preparing documentation, tracking shipments, and maintaining accurate inventory and order records.
You will also manage invoicing, generate reports, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Staying up to date on industry trends and addressing any logistics challenges will be key to supporting the overall success of the supply chain.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE :
- Manage the daily scheduling of sales deliveries with preferred carriers across North America, ensuring accurate documentation for the movement of goods and proper recordkeeping.
- Negotiate freight rates, determine requirements, and oversee the shipment of final products, aligning with customer specifications and tracking performance.
- Generate accurate invoices for customers and prepare comprehensive reports for the Accounting Department, maintaining records of stock and executed orders.
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, sales) to ensure smooth communication and efficient execution of tasks.
- Stay informed on global transportation trends and market conditions, proactively addressing potential issues that could impact operations.
THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION ARE :
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience in Logistics and Freight Forwarding.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively, with strong practical intelligence.
- Highly detail-oriented with exceptional organizational capabilities.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks efficiently and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Excel, and various logistics software tools.
- Strong understanding of North American geography.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian and American customs procedures.
