S&C is continuing to grow. Where do you come in? We are looking for an individual for the Metal Turning - Weekend Shift (12 Month Contract) role .
You will have a passion for innovation and in your field of expertise, enjoys working as part of a team and are committed to helping us become a leader in our industry.
Weekend Shift : Fri - Sun, 6am - 6pm
You will be responsible for :
Organize work in the metal finishing area to maximize available time for as many machines as possible simultaneously. .
have the parts washer running at the same time as the tumblers while the operator is media blasting other parts
- Media blast the parts on the necessary surfaces creating the proper surface finish required
- Metco spray either silver or tin on the correct surface areas after media blast. Remember to wash parts with tapped holes in ag101 after blast and Metco spray
- Coin parts as per drawings
- Tumble parts to achieve required surface finish
- Wash parts with the correct solution and time mix to remove all particulates and oils as required
- Grind and wire brush specific surfaces to proper surface finish requirements
Who are we looking for? Someone who has
- High school diploma
- Minimum 3 months of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Good communication, organizational and problem-solving skills
- Follow clearly prescribed standard practices and follow instruction / procedures with direct supervision
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
