We are seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to support and enhance manufacturing operations through continuous improvement initiatives for our client . This role focuses on applying Lean Manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, optimize workflows, and support safe, high-quality production processes in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support Lean Manufacturing initiatives , including one-piece flow, 5S implementation, and Kaizen events.
- Analyze existing manufacturing processes and develop improved methods related to product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling, ergonomics, machine guarding, and materials.
- Collaborate with operators, technicians, and equipment vendors to identify improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
- Improve manufacturing efficiency through workflow analysis, space planning, and equipment layout optimization.
- Support manufacturing decision-making by calculating labor and material costs, reviewing production schedules, and forecasting future requirements.
- Prepare and maintain product and process documentation, reports, and performance metrics.
- Ensure compliance with applicable health & safety, environmental, and industrial regulations .
- Coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and established procedures.
- Train, coach, and guide technicians during design and process improvement projects.
- Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing industry publications, and participating in professional networks.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Process, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering , or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, preferably in a high-volume or multi-product environment.Strong hands-on experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies .Proven ability to manage projects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Core Competencies
