Senior Project Manager

About the Client

Our client is looking to hire a Senior Project Manager to hire on a permanent basis.

About the Opportunity

• Full accounting cycle for multiple development projects
• Complete monthly calculations, perform bank reconciliations, recording revenues, management fees, and interest for each project
• Month end close procedures, ensuring all transactions are recorded including monthly accruals and journal entries
• Prepare monthly construction draws and coordinate with cost consultants
• Coordinate with the operations and other teams to process monthly property financials (i.e. invoice coding, purchase orders, project details and variance analysis) as needed
• Maintain ongoing analysis of project budgets on a pro forma basis from joint venture partners
• Set up project budgets, change orders and estimate in the accounting system, as well as implement control and maintenance activities
• Prepare and process cash calls, record and reconcile project distributions / contributions
• Assist in cash flow reconciliations and analysis
• Prepare internal and external partner reporting for each project including support for GL balances
• Assist in monthly compliance reporting

About You

• 5+ years of experience in project accounting
• Construction industry experience with experience in construction draws, project closes, and presenting your findings
• Advanced excel pivots, VLOOKUP’s
• Experience with real estate software (JDE, Newstar, Yardi)
• CPA is an asset but not required
• Supervisory experience is an asset but not required
