Prior Restaurant and Management experience is greatly preferred. But having and showing the values above is an asset.
We are specifically looking for someone with lounge experience and the desire to assist in our goals of increasing guest experience and sales in that department; however, the responsibilities would overlap with an Assistant Manager role.
Duties of an Assistant Manager at Smitty's :
Employee Relations
Assist with employee recruitment, promotions, hiring and dismissalsAssist in scheduling and conducting regular employee performance reviewsFacilitate a consistent orientation process for all employeesOrganize, support and inspire staffRespond to staff needs professionally and respectfullyDevelop and build team relationshipsAdministrative Duties
Maintain inventory control of liquor, garnishes, bar suppliesProvide appropriate and timely information to staff regarding promotional products and eventsMaintain accurate records related to labor sheetsManage cash, and conduct procedures for till count and change-overAttend to the ATM, bail VLT’s, balance floatsOversee maintenance and upkeep of equipment, supplies, facility, etc.Assist in all details related to banquet services / eventsMust be available to work long hours, holidays, weekends and evenings and to be on call and willing to answer your phone at all hours when problems ariseGuest Services
Regularly monitor quality assurance as it relates to food, services and facilitiesDevelop a professional, friendly relationship with internal and external customers and suppliersDiffuse situations with unhappy customersMaintain a clean and efficient appearance in lounge and restaurantBusiness Development
