Report Engineer - OSC

Job Description

The Report Engineer (BI Developer) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high ‑ quality reporting solutions that transform raw data into meaningful insights. This role requires strong hands ‑ on Power BI capabilities and intermediate experience with Azure Synapse Analytics to support modern BI and analytics workflows.

Location : Across Canada

Status : Contract, Hybrid

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document reporting requirements
• Design, build, and optimize Power BI dashboards, datasets, and paginated reports
• Develop data models using best practices aligned with performance and usability standards
• Use Azure Synapse Analytics (SQL pools, pipelines) to support data ingestion, transformation, and analysis
• Write and optimize SQL queries and transformations for reporting purposes
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and quality across all BI deliverables
• Implement Row ‑ Level Security (RLS) and follow governance standards for data access
• Troubleshoot report issues and provide enhancements to existing BI solutions
• Document data flows, logic, models, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders
