You’ll be responsible for :

Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services that power our Portal UI application.

Building and supporting resilient microservices and APIs that integrate with frontend components and external systems.

Collaborating closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless data flow and performance across the stack.

Contributing to backend architecture decisions, including service orchestration, data modeling, and security.

Writing clean, maintainable code and producing detailed technical documentation.

Supporting operations in diagnosing and resolving backend issues.

Participating in rotating on‑call support when required.

You bring :

A university degree in Computer Science Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.

5+ years software development experience.

Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full‑time capacity.

Experience with REST API development and microservices architecture.

Experience in Java application development using frameworks such as Spring, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate.

Experience in database design and development using relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle)

Experience in application security such as authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices

Experience in cloud technologies like AWS or Azure.

Experience in containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS ECS.

Experience with event‑driven and messaging‑based architectures.

Experience working in agile development environments and contributing to the full software delivery lifecycle.
