Corporate Accountant

We are looking for a meticulous Corporate Accountant to join our team in North York. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in managing financial records, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting month-end closing activities. This position is an excellent opportunity for a skilled individual who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Responsibilities:- Perform account reconciliations, including bank and balance sheet accounts, to ensure accuracy and compliance with financial policies.- Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the integrity of the general ledger.- Assist in month-end close processes, including preparing financial reports and analyzing variances.- Conduct detailed reviews of financial data to identify discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.- Collaborate with internal teams to support audits and provide necessary documentation.- Utilize Microsoft Excel to create and analyze spreadsheets for reporting purposes.- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies in all financial activities.- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.- Proven experience in account reconciliation, including bank and balance sheet accounts.- Strong knowledge of general ledger maintenance and journal entry preparation.- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex spreadsheets.- Familiarity with month-end close processes and financial reporting.- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
