Senior Performance Controls Engineer – North America

Role Overview
We’re looking for a Senior Performance Controls Engineer to combine a sharp analytical mindset with hands‑on problem‑solving instincts of a commissioning engineer. The role involves troubleshooting complex issues, pinpointing root causes on operating systems, and driving solutions across internal teams and external vendors.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Prioritize, investigate, and drive corrective action for performance issues identified during facility operation.
- Conduct troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis using data analysis, first principles, on‑site investigation, or other tools as needed.
- Validate software / firmware updates with vendors, site service teams, and stakeholders; coordinate subsequent rollouts.
- Communicate issues to vendors and stakeholders to ensure resolutions are implemented.
- Support performance testing as required under individual contracts for each facility.
- Contribute to fleet‑wide initiatives to improve monitoring and analysis processes and tools.
- Collaborate with internal teams to provide input that improves performance across the business, from application design to project execution, commissioning, and service.
- Document issues and resolutions for tracking, knowledge sharing, and internal / external communications.
- Ensure all activities comply with safety protocols, engineering standards, and company policies.
What You’ll Bring
Demonstrated experience in customer‑focused problem solving.Ability to execute multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, self‑directed, highly detail‑oriented, organized, and flexible.Experience troubleshooting with data analytics.Experience in commissioning, performance testing, maintenance, or design of BESS or other power generating facilities.Knowledge of SCADA protocols (e.g., DNP3 and Modbus).Familiarity with industrial communication networks (fiber optics, network switches, TCP / IP, etc.).Excellent communication skills.Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time; travel may be on short notice.What It’s Like to Work Here
