The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for :
- Provide engineering support for production and maintenance tasks, including planning, design, and feasibility studies.
- Evaluate operational and safety procedures for plant equipment, handling repairs when needed.
- Assess practices and equipment performance, suggesting improvements.
- Manage engineering projects, overseeing from start to finish and training staff as necessary.
- Approve new equipment designs and ensure they meet regulations.
- Work with the Senior Draftsperson to update drawings.
- Conduct engineering studies and tests to solve technical problems.
- Follow safety regulations and ensure safe work practices.
The required qualifications for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer are :
- Over 5 years of relevant industrial experience.
- Proficient in industrial mechanical design principles and adept at utilizing CAD / CAM systems.
- Skilled in redesigning existing mechanical systems.
- Proficient in designing hydraulic systems.
- Experienced in conducting crane inspections and maintenance.
- Experienced in designing and installing piping systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and P.Eng. designation.
