The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for :

  • Provide engineering support for production and maintenance tasks, including planning, design, and feasibility studies.
  • Evaluate operational and safety procedures for plant equipment, handling repairs when needed.
  • Assess practices and equipment performance, suggesting improvements.
  • Manage engineering projects, overseeing from start to finish and training staff as necessary.
  • Approve new equipment designs and ensure they meet regulations.
  • Work with the Senior Draftsperson to update drawings.
  • Conduct engineering studies and tests to solve technical problems.
  • Follow safety regulations and ensure safe work practices.

The required qualifications for the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer are :

  • Over 5 years of relevant industrial experience.
  • Proficient in industrial mechanical design principles and adept at utilizing CAD / CAM systems.
  • Skilled in redesigning existing mechanical systems.
  • Proficient in designing hydraulic systems.
  • Experienced in conducting crane inspections and maintenance.
  • Experienced in designing and installing piping systems.
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and P.Eng. designation.
