Network Technician Coordinator

AFIMAC Canada is actively hiring an experienced Network Technician Coordinator for work in Ontario

You will earn :

  • $41 per hour before overtime
  • $30 per day non-taxed meal allowance (when lodging is required)
  • Paid Travel (up to 4 hours)
  • Hotel Accommodations Provided (when required)

Contract Duration is 1-120 days

Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Plan, configure and organize work relating to network installation / operation / maintenance (LAN, MAN and WAN services)
  • Responsible for network infrastructure troubleshooting
  • Responsible for permit applications related to the construction of infrastructure
  • Analyze installation options
  • Establish project schedules for construction and installation projects
  • Responsible for documenting network installations and ensuring GIS records are updated
  • Ensure projects are completed within budget
  • Maintain inventory levels of necessary supplies
  • Maintain a safe work environment while complying with all health and safety requirements.

Skills & Qualifications :

  • Post-Secondary diploma in an Electronics Technology Program.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a network management or telecommunications construction environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of fibre optic construction and locating methodologies.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications (fibre optic and wireless) network design.
  • Class G driver's license.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, technical and communication skills
  • Fluent command of the English language (both written and verbal)
