Role Summary
The Systems Analyst role is to plan, design, develop, maintain and launch efficient information systems and operations systems in support of core organizational functions in conjunction with Systems Architect.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzes, evaluates, implements and supports network hardware, software and systems.
- Provide support for day-to-day problems and questions.
- Takes technical direction from senior staff
- Handles the administration of the LAN / WAN, including Internet access and communication
- Manages the installation, support and life cycle of servers, PCs, printers and peripherals (Wireless network, Access points etc.)
- Manage disk storage requirements for file, and database servers.
- Assist with monitoring and enforcing company standards
- Coordinates with System Architect on all network changes and upgrades
- Writes technical documentation and manuals, and assist with end user training
- Ensures systems’ reliability through redundancy, backups and security
- Manages and support all in-house Voice architecture, including : all Mitel control & peripheral nodes – maintenance, support and upgrades all digital phone and analog phone sets, modems and fax lines
- Manages and supports Modatek wireless phone system (Spectralink)
- Follows up with Modatek Systems Back up procedures to ensure proper data management
- Manages and coordinates all internal and external audits in conjunction with Area Leader
- Assist ERP analysts with any issues with Windows Server and SQL server
- Assists all external network links, as well as WAN connectivity
- Work with RF Champion to evaluate, support and troubleshoot all wireless handheld, scanners, mobile terminals and printers.
- Performs all system security checks based on security checklist tasks with direction from the Area Leader or Department Leader
- Assists all server infrastructures at both the hardware and software level
- Advises procurement of hardware / software and peripherals, coordinate activities with contractors to complete tasks / projects in conjunction with IT Management
- Enforce Sarbanes Oxley IT Standards / Best Practices
- Ensure that area is clean, tidy, organized and a safe workplace at all times
- Follow and comply with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook, Quality and Environment programs (ie. IATF 16949, ISO14001)

Key Qualifications / Requirements
Post-Secondary Education in an IT related fieldMinimum Five (5) years systems analyst experience in IT in an automotive or related manufacturing environmentExperience with Windows Server (Windows 2000 / 2003 / 2008 / 2013), Microsoft Server systems (SQL 2000 / 2005), Domain controllers, Active directory, applications and experience with networking.Experience with relational databases (MSSQL) (asset)Experience with PowerBI and SSRS (asset)Excellent organizational, interpersonal and problem solving skillsStrong oral and written skillsStrong analytical skillsAbility to uphold confidentialityDemonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environmentAbility to work overtime to meet customer needsAdditional Information

Located in Milton, Ontario, Modatek Systems is a division of Magna International. At Modatek, our dedicated team produce chassis systems utilizing innovative hydroforming, automated welding, and electrostatic coating processes within a large, safety-focused facility.
