Job description

6-10 years of MySQL DBA experience with AWS infrastructure

Experience on Github / Terraform as Infrastructure as code

PSQL,TSQL & mysql CLI coding knowledge is required

Postgres experience will be preferred

Install, configure, and maintain MySQL databases, ensuring high availability and performance both on-premises and cloud.

Hands-on experience on major and minor version upgrades

Monitor and optimize the performance of AWS Aurora MySQL databases, including proactive identification and resolution of issues to maintain high availability and performance.

In-depth knowledge of MySQL architecture, storage engines (InnoDB), and replication techniques.

Implement and maintain database backup and recovery strategies, ensuring data integrity and minimizing downtime in case of failures.

Design, develop, and implement databases in AWS cloud environments, aligning with the best scalability, security, and performance practices.

Perform data migrations from Oracle to Postgres databases on AWS, ensuring seamless transitions and data integrity.

Set up and maintain database replication for high availability and disaster recovery purposes.

Establish and enforce database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and data privacy best practices.

Create and manage user accounts, permissions, and roles following the organization's security policies and requirements.

Develop and execute database scripts to automate routine tasks and streamline operations.

Monitor and analyze database activity, identify trends, and optimize query performance and resource utilization.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development, troubleshoot database-related issues, and provide technical guidance.

Stay updated with the latest AWS database technologies, tools, and best practices, continuously evaluating their potential impact on our database environment
