Job descriptionAt least a bachelor’s degree in business, technical or related field (preferred). 5 years Consulting or Management experience. Understanding of core Business Intelligence (BI) / data warehousing technology : RDBMS such as SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, Teradata, Web, Client / Server and OLAP. Technical expertise in all areas of MicroStrategy functionality, as well as subject matter expertise in areas such as Databases, SDK, Architecture, Security and BI Planning. Business Intelligence development experience and programming experience (SQL, Visual Basic, C, C++); Web / Internet experience (JAVA, HTML, ASP, XML, XSL, JavaScript). Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and business requirements. Application knowledge of the following industries : Consumer Packaged Goods, Pharmaceutical, Retail, Telecommunications, Banking & Financial Services, Insurance, Healthcare and ERP. Timely delivery of all project related deliverables. Ability to position additional products and services into existing accounts. Proven analytical and problem solving skills. Experience with implementation methodologies. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to build and deliver presentations to all levels of the business and effectively explain complex issues and concepts in simple, understandable language. Ability to mentor and lead a team of consultants.Ability to work under minimal supervision. Proven customer satisfaction abilities. Experience with RDBMS, datawarehousing, analytics or Business Intelligence (BI) tools such as Cognos, Informatica, Hyper, SAS, Business Objects, Information Builders, Generation5, Angoss, Peregrine, g5, SPSS, Teradata, MicroStrategy, Netezza, ODESIA, etc.
Overview
Our client is a leading Business Intelligence platform provider that delivers end‑to‑end solutions for reporting, analytics and data integration. They have engaged ROSS to recruit a Project Manager for their Consulting Services practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage complex implementation, integration, enhancement or audit projects.
- Define production consulting scope, proposals, service engagements and demand creation.
- Manage and mentor Production Consultants assigned to a project.
- Work as part of a team with Sales, Sales Consultants and Director of Professional Services.
- Meet services revenue targets.
- May also serve as a senior‑level billable consultant when needed.
