The Opportunity :
Under Sunwing, we are looking for a Crew Scheduler to join us in making vacation dreams come true. As the Crew Scheduler you will be responsible for ensuring all pairings are staffed safely and efficiently in a timely fashion while complying with all government regulations and collective agreements and will also provide the crew with a continuously high level of customer service.
The position reports to the Manager, Crew Scheduling and will be located inToronto, ON.
What You’ll Do :
- Monitor and evaluate crew schedule legalities and amend, as necessary.
- Ensure legal and timely staffing of all flights in relation to the government regulations and the Sunwing working conditions
- Provide effective and timely communication with all Crew Members as it relates to schedule changes, flight assignments, and delays.
- Incorporate safety guidelines and policies into all functions of the position.
- Liaise with the applicable training department to notify of disruptions
- Work with your team to solve arising operational issues as quickly as possible.
- Apply and relay information regarding the application of Crew Agreements and Regulations.
- Coordinate scheduling activities to achieve on time operational performance in concert with other operational areas
- Provide feedback for process change for continuous improvement for Crew Scheduling activities.
- Other duties as required
What You’ll Need :
- Must be able to work in office (located near Pearson Airport)
- Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check
- Flexible schedule; Days and nights, rotational shift work (4 days on, 4 days off)
- Customer Service experience required.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills(written & verbal);
- Ability to be adaptable in a fast-paced, high pressure, environment and work with different personality types
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team
- Previous airline operational experience, an asset
