We are currently seeking a Business Processing Associate to join our Dealer Operations team. The successful candidate will ensure timely and accurate processing of various financial transaction types, analyze trade requests deemed “not in good order,” and ensure all information and documentation are received in good order for processing. The role also requires providing prompt and courteous service to internal teams, advisors, and third-party institutions as assigned.
What you will do
- Conduct adequate analysis of all new financial / transactional request types
- Analyze and interpret trade requests to make sound decisions to action the request accordingly
- Ensure proper documentation and appropriate authorization is obtained as per company policies and procedures before processing any transactional requests
- Handle set ups and / or modifications to existing / ongoing systematic transactions in accounts
- Communicate with financial advisors and necessary third parties via phone, email, Message service and / or fax as required
- Review daily reconciliation and data integrity reports as assigned
- Handle routine cleanup reports to ensure all client information is accurately reflected in our records
- Assist with special projects during peak periods as assigned, and contribute to ongoing initiatives undertaken by the department
- Participate in User Acceptance Testing when required
What you will bring
Minimum 1+ years of experience in an administrative position or Operations back-office environmentHigh school diploma is the minimum requirementPost-Secondary education (preferably with a focus in Business or Accounting) or equivalent related business experience in the financial services industry is an assetAbility to work well under pressure and within time constraintsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communications skillsKeen attention to detailUnderstanding of investing fundamentals and / or Mutual Funds is considered an assetCompletion of the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or the IFIC Mutual Funds Course is an assetStrong knowledge of Registered Product Legislation (RRSP, RESP, RRIF, LIRA, LIF) is an assetPrior data entry / financial transaction processing experienceExtensive knowledge of industry back-office or Operations practicesWorking conditions
