Essential Job Functions :
- Responsible for pursuing new business and managing an existing book of renewal business in our Management Liability portfolio focusing on privately held and nonprofit companies, which includes Directors & Officers, Employment Practices, Fiduciary Liability and Crime coverage lines.
- Underwrite, rate, and service new and renewal submissions and participate in client meetings as required.
- Develop and maintain agency and broker relationships.
- Negotiate with brokers within the limits of delegated authority and in accordance with established underwriting standards to achieve profit objectives.
- Develop a working knowledge of other Starr products to facilitate cross sale of those products where applicable.
Requirements :
- 2-3 years of Management Liability underwriting experience.
- Experience and relationships with Financial Lines brokers in Canada.
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Detail oriented; Attention to quality / accuracy.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflows efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.
- Professional demeanor in verbal and written communications internally and externally
- Proficient in MS Outlook, Excel, Word and similar applications
