Our client, a leading General Contractor is looking for a Project Director to join their team in Calgary or Edmonton. This position will report into the Operational Manager and join an established team with potential for growth.
As the Project Director, you will guide the team in the structure and delivery of project bids, budgeting, and other pre-construction services.
Once the project has been awarded, you will be repsonsible for managing the client relationship.

Responsibilities
Lead, coach and mentor all internal project team members to achieve the project deliverables
Determine all resources required to complete assigned projects in accordance with the project commitments
Provide preconstruction leadership to the project team, challenging them to deliver value-based design
Align Project Execution Plan with core ideology, by providing oversight on the project goals, objectives, risks, assumptions, budgets, staffing requirements, responsibility matrix, work breakdown structure, milestones and deliverables
Support a safety culture that aligns with corporate strategies and core values
Qualifications
Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Architecture, Construction Management, or equivalent construction experience
LEED understanding
10 or more years of experience in commercial construction
10 or more years of direct work experience in construction project management or construction supervision
Demonstrated success in multiple project delivery methods
Highly effective negotiation, diplomacy and conflict-resolution skills
