Chemical Production Technician

Our client in the Life Sciences field has partnered with Randstad Engineering in their search for a Chemical Production Technician to join their team!

Your responsibilities :

• Perform all unit operations involved in membrane production, device packaging and shipping
• Set up and operate membrane production equipment in accordance with current good manufacturing practices and standard operating procedures
• Perform characterization of membranes using various laboratory techniques
• Measure and record data associated with operating equipment and all membrane production activities in manufacturing batch records according to company standards
• Troubleshoot problems encountered during membrane production, device packaging and development experiments
• Maintain production areas, membrane production machinery, membrane and device packaging areas in a high degree of cleanliness
• Transfer hazardous or non-hazardous waste materials to collection areas for disposal, recycling, or reuse
• Adhere to all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures for health, safety, and environmental compliance
• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

• A diploma in chemical engineering or chemistry
• 1+ years related experience in a high-value production environment or laboratory, preferably in Life Sciences

Preferred Qualifications :

• Ability to follow detailed instructions
• Ability to lift weights up to 30 lbs
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Proven ability to work as part of a diverse team
• Experience in the following areas would be considered an asset :

oFamiliarity with clean room operations

oRoll goods / web-based manufacturing
