Alberta Infrastructure is responsible for delivering about one quarter of the Alberta government’s Capital Plan, which addresses the provincial infrastructure needs of Alberta’s population that support key social programs and services and economic development.
The Ministry designs, builds, manages, and maintains government‑owned and operated facilities, and collaborates with other ministries to ensure that school and hospital infrastructure meet the needs of Alberta’s population. Infrastructure also provides accommodation services and manages a large portfolio of owned and leased facilities while maintaining fiscal accountability and optimizing value for Albertans.

Reporting to the Facilities Coordinator, the Building Superintendent is responsible for the hands‑on day‑to‑day operations and maintenance of the Royal Tyrrell Museum and a number of Government of Alberta buildings within Drumheller, Hanna, Oyen and Coronation area. Services are completed through a combination of in‑house staff and outsourced service contracts.
The Building Superintendent directs and monitors staff and contractors to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the facility. This includes caretaking, maintenance, landscaping, snow removal.
The Building Superintendent also develops and maintains positive relations with client / tenants while ensuring that the facilities are maintained with established standards applicable codes in a cost‑effective manner and to the highest client satisfaction.

This position is a Permanent, full‑time role with the standard weekly work hours of 36.25, Monday to Friday (8 : 15 am – 4 : 30 pm).
