The opportunity

This individual will also play a vital role in enhancing data from sales analytics to gain insights into customer behavior, market trends, and sales performance.

By harnessing the power of Databricks and Azure, to optimize sales strategies, identify growth opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.

This will ultimately lead to improved revenue generation, enhanced customer satisfaction, and a driven edge in the market.

Responsibilities

  • Clean, preprocess, and analyze large datasets to extract relevant insights and patterns
  • Develop and lead machine learning and AI driven projects
  • Deploy machine learning models and applications on cloud platforms like Azure ML or Databricks, ensuring detailed integration and scalability.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and ML engineers to integrate data science solutions into existing systems and workflows.
  • Working knowledge of visualization tools like PowerBI

How will you create impact?

This role will report into Director - Sales Reporting and analytics. This role will significantly impact the organization by ensuring the efficient management and utilization of data through the implementation of Data lake and Azure, leading to improved data insights and decision-making capabilities.

Additionally, the expertise in data visualization and reporting will enable the organization to effectively communicate and present crucial information to collaborators, thereby enhancing transparency and driving informed strategic initiatives.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor', Master's degree, or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing probabilistic models, data mining, and machine learning algorithms, including real world experience of applying analytics models, with a strong focus on machine learning, generative AI, prompt engineering, and RAG applications
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and experience with machine learning libraries / frameworks, e.g., PyTorch, scikit-learn, Hugging Face, SQL, graph databases (Neo4j / Cypher, Cosmos DB / Gremlin).
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & standard methodologies for the full software development process, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
  • Strong collaboration and elaboration skills; demonstrates a strong commitment to organizational success; shares resources and demonstrates knowledge across the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively to develop innovative solutions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work optimally in multi-functional teams.

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location

Toronto, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between

$74,270.00 CAD - $137,930.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education / training.

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
