This position can be done clinic based, or via a hybrid model with time split between home office and clinic (preference will be given to clinic based or hybrid model candidates that can work part time out of our Dartmouth Pleasant location.)

This is a great opportunity for an RCT that has Traumatic Psychological Injury (TPI) experience, or has an interest in learning and counselling in that space.

If you have clinical experience with a variety of conditions and you enjoy working both autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, we welcome you as a Mental Health professional who will excel as a part of CBI Health.

As a Registered Counselling Therapist within CBI Health’s Rehabilitation Outpatient team, you will be responsible for the provision of clinical services for patients referred for counselling services.

This will include consultation, evaluation, assessment, interventions, monitoring of progress / outcomes and discharge with individuals and / or groups.

The caseload consists of patients who are either self-referred, referred by a physician, or referred by a third-party payer or a public agency.

What you will need to be successful :

• Hold a Master’s, Doctoral or equivalent graduate degree in Counselling Psychology or Social Work
• Be currently registered and in good standing with the Nova Scotia College of Counselling Therapists or Nova Scotia College of Social Workers
• Maintain individual professional liability / malpractice insurance
• Experience with Traumatic Psychological Injury (TPI) counselling is highly desired.
• Have relevant clinical practice experience, including clinical experience in the assessment and provision of appropriate intervention with a variety of conditions
• Be able to work both autonomously and as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Be efficient and responsive in the provision of required clinical documentation
• Demonstrate a work ethic, reliability, maturity and flexibility
