MSW or Counselling Therapist

Halifax, NS

Full-time, Defined term (1 year contract)

The opportunity

Reporting to the Clinical Manager, you will provide single-session counselling to the adult population of Nova Scotia through the new Access Wellness program.

Service will be provided in-person, in a TELUS Health office.

What you will do

• Provide single-session counselling to an adult population for various presenting issues;
• Provide referrals and information about other available services;

Manage associated administrative requirements of the role.

Who we are looking for

• Master’s Degree in Counselling, Social Work or Psychology is mandatory ;
• Membership with Nova Scotia College of Social Workers or Counselling Therapists is mandatory ;
• Post-masters clinical experience;
• Strong assessment skills and ability to work within a single-sessionmodel;
• Ability to use a solution focused approach and to set short term objectives;

Ability to clinically manage high-risk cases.
