Role Overview
As Sr. Project Manager, you will manage the full lifecycle of BESS projects from Limited Notice to Proceed to Final Completion. You will coordinate internal teams, clients, vendors, EPCs, contractors, and subcontractors to deliver turnkey solar energy storage systems. Strong project management and EPC construction experience, along with negotiation and conflict‑resolution skills, are essential.
Responsibilities
Lead cross‑functional projects of medium to high complexity, overseeing quality, scope, schedule, cost, and risk.Serve as the primary contact for customers, subcontractors, and joint‑venture partners, setting expectations and ensuring satisfaction.Develop project plans, assign tasks, monitor daily progress, perform quality reviews, and address issues promptly.Coordinate communication across all impacted organization areas to keep scope, budget, and resources aligned.Recruit additional staff or consultants if needed and manage their onboarding during the project cycle.Determine status‑report frequency, analyze results, and troubleshoot problems.Define project success criteria and disseminate them throughout the project lifecycle.Coach, mentor, and motivate project teams and contractors to achieve accountability and high performance.Build and grow business relationships vital to project success.Conduct post‑mortems and produce recommendations to improve future projects.Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies.Support Sales, Engineering, Procurement, and Legal teams with due diligence, system design, contract negotiation, and construction oversight.Lead regular meeting cadences with vendors and clients, provide clear status updates, and maintain project documentation.Report project status, performance data, budget, and payment status to management and stakeholders.Promote transparent communication and adopt state‑of‑the‑art project management tools.Champion quality, safety, and sustainability standards.Contribute continuous improvement ideas to enhance project outcomes.What We’re Looking For
Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) degree or diploma.Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience, preferably in utility‑scale renewable projects.Strong negotiation, facilitation, risk management, and consensus‑building skills.Knowledge of general and national codes, medium‑voltage power systems, and photovoltaic or energy‑storage applications.Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to influence diverse executives and experts.Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and succeed in a fast‑paced environment.Expert knowledge of creating business requirements, work plans, schedules, and related artifacts.Professional‑level proficiency with project‑management tools (e.g., MS 365, Microsoft Project, P6).Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.Willingness to travel domestically for projects.Capability to work independently and collaboratively.Professional appearance and conduct.Work performed in a standard office environment with regular computer use.What It’s Like to Work Here
