Project Manager/ Estimator, Electrical Service

About the position :

Currently, we are seeking an energetic and driven Electrical Project Manager / Estimator with good customer service skills to join our Electrical Service team in Burnaby, BC.

The Project Manager / Estimator performs a wide range of duties including estimating smaller jobs / projects and repairs, managing service work order and project process flow including scheduling, invoice closeout and customer satisfaction follow up.

Project Manager / Estimator Responsibilities :

• Identify potential business opportunities with customers,
• Maintain good relationship with suppliers, consultants, general contractors and end users
• Review contracts for onerous clauses and conditions
• Manage project financial performance, including billing responsibilities.
• Estimate project costs and changes, and submit tenders,
• Purchase materials and equipment,
• Work with Coordinators, and Service Electricians to develop work and small project scheduling.
• Manage the project and be present on project sites on a regular basis
• Arrange for project manuals / Power quality reports to be completed
• Review the project at completion with the foreman and superintendent to discuss successes and challenges.

Project Manager / Estimator Experience and Skills :

• Electrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree or Electrical Technologist diploma / certificate,
• 2-3 years' experience in Electrical Project Management and / or Estimating,
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills,
• Strong communication skills,
• Good computer skills and proficient in MS Office (word, excel, outlook, etc), experience in Accubid and Procore an asset,
• FSR B certificate is an asset,
• Experience with high voltage and preventative Maintenace work, alsoan asset.

Salary Range : $85,000-$120,000 per year plus a competitive total compensation package. Actual salary will depend on your experience, skills and overall match to the position offered.
