Beem Credit Union is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Communications Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping and executing our internal and external communication strategies.

Our ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling, brand messaging, and fostering meaningful connections with our members and stakeholders.

They will be responsible for ensuring that our communications are not only compelling and engaging but also aligned with our brand voice and values.

This role will enjoy hybrid working arrangements which can be fulfilled primarily from the Burnaby Corporate office or at our Kelowna Corporate Office.

What you'll do :

Communications Strategy

  • Contribute to Beem's overall communications strategy from an internal communications standpoint ensuring it aligns with Beem's broader business objectives and values.
  • Execute Beem's communications strategy, communicating to direct and cross-functional teams and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain standards, guidelines and procedures for corporate and branch communications initiatives.

Internal Communications

  • Lead the development and implementation of internal communication plans to ensure consistency in messaging promoting Beem's corporate identity, mission, and values.
  • Manage companywide corporate communications including the corporate intranet and communication through the CEO's office and departments throughout the credit union.
  • Oversee management of content for Beem's intranet site and maintenance of internal social media site.
  • Partner with communications and brand leaders in the internal launch and maintenance of Beem's brand strategy.
  • Advise leadership and other stakeholders on a range of complex communication matters with a solutions-oriented approach.

Data Analytics

Utilize data analytics to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies, make recommendations, and inform decision-making.

Collaboration & Project Management

  • Collaborate with PR Strategist to maintain alignment between internal and external / PR communications.
  • Lead cross-functional projects and collaborate with various departments to integrate Beem's communication efforts, ensuring alignment with broader organizational goals.

A little about your qualifications :

  • Degree in business, communications or marketing
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in corporate communications
  • Demonstrated Leadership and Project Management capabilities
  • Experience in a fast-changing and growing organization
  • Equivalent combination of the above may be appropriate

What you'll gain :

  • Competitive base salary; reviewed annually. The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $90,000.
