Job description

About SMYLS

Canadian family doctors are facing growing financial pressures, from managing overhead costs to navigating funding gaps within a complex healthcare system. These challenges, combined with increasing patient demands, make it harder for physicians to maintain sustainable practices. At SMYLS we aim to support family doctors by offering innovative solutions that help make family practices financially viable while providing options for patients.

The core of SMYLS is the web-based platform that helps clinics manage billing, invoicing, third party payments and more. Your expertise however will extend beyond technology and into helping clinics navigate the challenging and evolving landscape of Canadian health care, helping adopt cutting-edge solutions and best practices.

We are looking for a motivated and professional Sales Representative to join our team. This role involves engaging directly with medical clinics, family doctors, and medical assistants to promote and support SMYLS.

Job Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-person and phone-based outreach to medical clinics, family doctors, and medical assistants.
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with healthcare providers, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions.
  • Provide detailed information about SMYLS’ solutions and platform, highlighting their benefits to both healthcare professionals and their patients.
  • Schedule and conduct sales presentations or product demonstrations as required.
  • Respond to inquiries, address concerns, and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain an organized sales pipeline and track interactions with potential and existing customers using a CRM or similar system.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor products, and market developments to provide valuable insights during sales discussions.
  • Meet and exceed individual and team sales targets.
  • Represent SMYLS in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the healthcare or medical field (preferred but not required).
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to connect with medical professionals and their staff.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
  • A results-driven mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Willingness to travel locally to visit clinics and establish face-to-face relationships.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry or familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within a limited territory
  • Self-motivated, professional, and capable of working independently.
  • What We Offer

  • Competitive base salary plus commission.
  • Comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure your success in the role.
  • Opportunities for career growth and professional development.
  • Flexible work schedule.
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • OTE for this position is expected to fall between $85K and $100K
