Welder - Ganawa

Ganawa is a full service steel fabricator and supplier for bridge and structural steel market projects. Specializing in bridge expansion joints and railing systems the welder/fitter must be qualified in steel works.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Follow and read detailed blueprints and diagrams to complete welding processes
• Ensure fit-up for welding (Cut, drill, bevel, grind)
• Welding Part Prep (Layout, position, align and assemble)
• Welding Prep (Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, bolt parts)
• Operate Power tools such as grinding wheel and die grinder
• Examine and assess work pieces for defects using measuring tool and jigs
• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
• Work sites can be mobile welding and/or in shop location

Qualifications

• Welding Certificate or Diploma is an asset
• MIG Welding (Minimum 3+ years)
• CWB Weld ticket is an asset
• Must be able to work overtime if required
• Candidates must complete in house weld test (Weld 1/16 to )
• Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
