Job Description
The successful candidate for this role will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a clinic setting.
Clinical skills and knowledge of wound management, infusion therapy, palliative care, and chronic disease management are required.
- Provide patient-focused, safe, holistic nursing care in a clinical setting
- Ensure that nursing care provided to the patient is based on current and best practices to achieve successful outcomes
- Continually assess, anticipate, identify and respond to new and changing needs of patients
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of community nursing experience
- Currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
- Ability to work independently in managing a caseload
- Proficiency in English, both verbal and written required (Additional language skills considered an asset)
- Experience with infusion therapy, mental health, palliative care, and wound care is an asset
- Excellent patient assessment and teaching skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Physical ability to perform the day-to-day duties described in the duties and responsibilities.
- Basic proficiency in Word, Excel and ability to learn proprietary software
