About the Opportunity

As a Site Reliability Engineer at Dayforce, you will be part of a pioneering team responsible for ensuring our industry‑leading HCM platform delivers exceptional scalability, availability, and reliability. Dayforce is a global HCM technology company with operations across North America, EMEA, and APJ, and our award‑winning cloud platform powers efficiency, productivity, and compliance for organizations worldwide.

In this role, you will help bridge the gap between development and operations by championing the SRE engagement model. If you’re passionate about modern reliability practices, continuous improvement, and empowering teams through technology, this role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Dayforce’s platform.

What You’ll Get to Do

Learn Dayforce’s cloud infrastructure and applications to develop a full understanding of the Dayforce ecosystem.

Onboard new features and ensure applications meet Production Readiness Review standards.

Work on projects that enhance reliability, improve SRE processes, and automate operational toil.

Participate in incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and remediate issues.

Create runbooks and reusable runbook components.

Contribute to the internal SRE repository and promote inner‑source collaboration.

Develop trusted relationships across Dayforce’s business and engineering teams.

Participate in PagerDuty on‑call rotations as required.

Skills and Experience We Value

Self‑starter with a strong desire to learn new concepts and technologies and contribute to the SRE ecosystem.

2–4 years of experience as an SRE, System Administrator, Network Engineer, Database Administrator, or Software Engineer.

Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure.

Proficiency in at least one object‑oriented programming language (C# or Java preferred).

Experience with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell.

Experience with at least one database engine and querying language (MSSQL / TSQL or Postgres / PLSQL preferred).

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

What Would Make You Stand Out

Knowledge of containerization technologies and Kubernetes.

Experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure‑as‑code tools.

Hands‑on experience automating systems or building internal operational tooling.

A passion for reliability engineering, automation, and continuous improvement.

About the Salary Ranges

Please note that the salary range mentioned in this job description should serve simply as a guide. The final compensation offered may vary based on a variety of factors, including bonuses and / or incentives, or a candidate’s experience, skills, budget and location. Our company is committed to providing a fair, equitable, and competitive package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization.

Proficiency in English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English‑speaking stakeholders, co‑workers, managers and / or clients across the world. Further, our back office support teams, but not limited to Human Resources, are primarily English speaking. Employees need to be able to communicate with these departments in English to appropriately administer their business relationship.
