You will touch on many aspects making this a perfect opportunity for an all-rounder!

More specifically, you will be expected to :

  • Provide technical leadership for projects including review, development and maintenance of best practice technical systems and protocols;
  • Define and optimize required drilling / data collection for geology, geotechnical, hydrogeology and metallurgy, working with SME’s across various disciplines to maximize value (data collected) for drilling expenditure and ensure alignment with Glencore standards;
  • Ensure appropriate resourcing for all aspects of drill programs, working with regional and asset exploration and geology teams to define and control drilling, logging, sampling, and assay budgets;
  • E ngage with global and regional technical services teams or consultants to coordinate updates of resource estimations, structural models, lithological models, etc.
  • to meet study timelines;
  • Report on key KPI’s, cost and schedule of projects and ensure all required documentation is submitted in a timely manner in accordance with the requirements / standards and study timelines;
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary due diligence assessments and stage gate reviews for projects.

Do you have what it take?

  • Tertiary studies in geology or another relevant field;
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience covering a broad range of aspects such as exploration, production geology and project study;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of JORC(2012) and / or NI 43-101;
  • Strong capacity to communicate effectively and influence others;
  • Proven ability to lead a team and work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders at various levels of the organisation and from different backgrounds;
  • Highly organized, result-oriented with a boots-on-the-ground approach;
  • Business acumen with the ability to see the big picture whilst not losing sight of the details.

Languages : English. The knowledge of Russian, Spanish or French is an asset.

Travel : You must be willing to travel up to 30% of your time and work with colleagues located in different time zones.
