Job Summary

FOOD SERVICE WORKER - CUISINE CENTRE : The Food Service Worker in the Cuisine Centre is responsible for the preparation of patient meal trays on an assembly line, minor preparation and portioning of sandwiches, salads and desserts in the beltline preparation area, cleaning of patient trays, minor equipment and floors in a dish-room environment and other related duties as required.

FOOD SERVICE WORKER - OUTSIDE CUISINE CENTRE : The Food Service Worker is responsible for preparing, assembling, and serving meals to patients / residents / customers.

This may include distributing and collecting meal trays from floors, preparing vegetables, snacks, or other nourishments, ensuring kitchenettes and food stations are clean, sanitized, and stocked, performing cashier duties if applicable and other related duties as required.

Constantly lifts food, supplies and products up to 10 lbs. and occasional lifts / pushes / pulls food products and supplies between 20-50 lbs.

Job Qualifications

Graduation from high school or equivalent.

Knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation would be an asset.

Demonstrated ability to interact and communicate effectively.

Demonstrated strong customer service skills.

A satisfactory record of work performance is required.
