How You’ll Make an Impact
Reporting to the Director, Research, the Market Research Analyst will be a natural communicator with a strong analytical foundation and innate curiosity. This role is responsible for analyzing, interpreting and communicating insightful market and/or competitive research in support of business development, thought leadership and strategic business planning for Fidelity Canada. You will gain diverse exposure to Fidelity's functional areas and leadership teams and will have the opportunity to see tangible results from your research.
What You Will Do
- Primary Research: Assist with Fidelity Canada’s primary research program including questionnaire design, sampling, data collection, and analysis. You will play a meaningful role in synthesizing quantitative and qualitative data and preparing research reports and/or dashboards for key internal partners.
- Secondary Research: Support Fidelity Canada’s advisor and institutional business lines with demand analysis and competitive positioning to identify key financial industry trends and uncover new business opportunities, working closely with industry-leading market research partners to inform strategic decision making.
- Project Management: Oversee strategic projects for the Corporate Affairs group including scheduling, collaborating with internal and external partners, identifying risks, and reporting.
What We’re Looking for
- A completed Bachelor’s degree in a business, economics, quantitative focus area or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years of market research experience, preferably in the financial services/asset management/market research industries
- Completed Post-graduate degree in a business or quantitative subject area (including MBA) is an asset
- Completion of the CSC designation is preferred
- Completion of the CAIP designation is considered an asset, as well as investment-focused designations CFA/CAIA/CIM/etc.

- Solid understanding of the financial services and asset management industry.
- Excellent analytical and quantitative ability with proven skills in conducting sophisticated data analysis.
- Excellent oral and written communicator with well-developed data visualization and presentation skills.
- An avid learner who stays ahead of trends and is confident in their ability to learn new technologies and adapt to constantly evolving demands.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining high standards.
- Ability to build rapport and credibility with stakeholders including business leaders at all levels.

For this role, your total rewards include:
- Base Salary and Discretionary Performance Bonus: A competitive annual range of $94,000 to $117,000, based on your experience and qualifications.
- RRSP Contribution: After 6 months of employment, we invest in your future with an RRSP contribution—no employee matching required.
