Position
Class 3 Power Engineer.
Job Summary
Support plant operations, oversee steam systems, boilers, compressors, cooling towers, and ensure safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
Operate plant and site steam systems, air compressors, cooling towers per company procedures, policies, and TSSA Standards.
Perform start‑up and shutdown of boilers, monitor process water levels, steam pressures, conduct water testing, and record data.
Monitor and inspect plant equipment, valves, gauges, alarms, meters, and other instruments to detect leaks or malfunctions and ensure maximum efficiency.
Maintain reports, logs, and ensure plant systems operate safely and within specifications.
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks (e.g., filters, strainers, process water equipment).
Analyze and record instrument readings and equipment malfunctions.
Troubleshoot and perform corrective action and minor repairs to prevent equipment or system failure.
Follow all safety procedures, policies and participate in the company safety program.
Maintain good housekeeping practices and safe work habits.
Operate PEX pre‑expander steam‑operated equipment.
Handle and operate machinery safely in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures.
Operate automated and computerized systems and auxiliary equipment.
Monitor equipment to meet production and quality constraints of the company.
Maintain production reports and quality‑checking logs for each batch.
Clean equipment as scheduled or required.
Advise management of any maintenance or repair needs.
Participate in routine maintenance and other duties as directed by the Production Manager.
Qualifications
Valid Class 3 Power Engineering Certificate.
Experience in steam boiler industrial settings (preferred).
Forklift driving experience (preferred).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Physical ability to perform all aspects of the job.
Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
Physical Demands
May require periods of intense physical exertion in low to high temperatures and humidity.
Ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods during a normal shift.
Must be able to lift 25 lb.

Wednesday 12 : 00 PM – 6 : 00 PM
Thursday 6 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM
Friday 6 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM
Saturday 6 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM
