The role requires an SME in Total Return Swaps, with the ability to work within a team of Technical Business Analysts and Developers, as well as work closely with the Product Development Team, PS Middle Office Teams and internal Risk teams.**In this role you will:*** Work closely with business stakeholders in the Prime Service business (primarily Synthetic PB) in understanding business requirements and delivering Technology solutions.* Analyze and understand the deliverables as per business needs.* Work closely with the BA/Dev team and the technology support team to address all the regulatory requests (SEC, CFTC, MiFID II) for synthetic prime* Take a strategic view with latest technology solutions to provide efficiencies with the flow and integration of systems across Prime Services.* Define Test Strategies as well as detailed test cases, while participating in IST & UAT* Over 5 years of Capital Markets experience in Equities and Derivatives* Product knowledge of Total Return Swaps and Portfolio swaps.* Excellent Communication Skills and ability to work with traders* Knowledge of risk management (exposure calculations-PFE, VaR, counter party risk) would be an asset* Familiarity with the Swap application highly preferred.* Knowledge of SQL Server (query, stored proc, index etc.).* Knowledge of Python desirable.* Show keen interest in learning new technology and desire to learn and mentor other members within the teams.* Ability to communicate with key business and technology stakeholders on a daily basis.* Ability to translate business user requirements into technology specifications and implementation* Knowledge of US , CA, EU and Asia regulatory environment would be an asset* Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Allyship - We strive to create an inclusive culture where every employee is empowered to reach their fullest potential, respected for who they are, and are embraced through bias-free practices and inclusive values across Scotiabank.
