Position Overview :
We are seeking an Interim / Temp Human Resources Manager to drive change and achieve business results through strong influence, relationship building, and HR expertise. This role includes travel, and housing is provided.
Key Responsibilities :
Lead HR initiatives focused on people development, talent management, staffing, retention, succession planning, diversity, organizational development, and performance management for both union and non-union employees.
Manage Employer / Union relationships, including contract negotiations, grievance investigations, and labor relations functions.
Align HR functions with the operational strategy to ensure customer-centric priorities.
Develop and maintain a talent pipeline for various positions.
Implement cultural change initiatives to foster a collaborative work environment.
Provide change management support and coaching to department leaders.
Offer HR expertise and coaching on annual processes to build management competencies.
Track HR performance metrics and prepare reports for management.
Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, health, and company policies.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree required; HR Certification preferred.
8+ years of HR experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
Experience with collective bargaining agreements and labor relations.
Strong knowledge of HR practices including talent acquisition, compensation, performance management, and organizational development.
Effective leadership and motivational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and in-house software.
Experience in policy formulation and strategy implementation.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Willingness to travel and work varied hours, including weekends.
Bilingual in French and English is required.
