Senior Quality Engineer

Position: Automation Test EngineerLocation: Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 1-2 days onsite)Job Type: PermanentWhat is the Opportunity:We're looking for an Automation Test Engineer to join a dynamic team in a permanent hybrid role based in Toronto. This position plays a key role in designing and executing automated testing strategies that ensure high-quality software delivery across complex systems and integrations. The ideal candidate has strong analytical and technical skills, demonstrates initiative, and thrives in collaborative, fast-paced environments. You'll work closely with developers, architects, and stakeholders to deliver scalable, efficient, and secure automation frameworks.Main Duties & Responsibilities:- Analyze business, design, and technical requirements to create comprehensive automated testing plans and strategies using a risk-based approach.- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts for sanity, regression, performance, and component (API) testing.- Perform load and performance testing and ensure all code aligns with security and quality standards.- Run and maintain test automation scripts for ongoing regression testing.- Participate in architectural and design reviews to assess technical flows and define testing scope.- Maintain open communication channels with all stakeholders to ensure applications meet the highest level of quality.- Ensure that code meets security benchmarks by reviewing and signing off on reports.What We're Looking For:- Strong communication, collaboration, initiative, and time management skills.- Hands-on experience with Java, Selenium (Cucumber), QTest, XML, JSON, REST API, ReadyAPI/Postman, and XPath (all required).- Experience working with automated testing frameworks and web-based applications.- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment while managing multiple projects.- Strong understanding of cloud technologies; Azure experience is a significant asset.If you're passionate about automation, quality assurance, and continuous improvement, this is an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact in a collaborative, innovative environment.Please send your resume in Word format to Shannon Scullion at shannon.scullion@quantum-qtr.com.
